I use mostly earth friendly cleaning products in the house, and I was glad to stumble across this product. Not only is it less expensive that regular dishwasher cleaners, it works just as well if not better than them.

The packaging seemed incredibly small, about the size of a 7-11 Big Gulp cup, so I quickly poured a canister into an empty cup and brought out my Cuisinart measuring tablespoon and found that there were in fact 59 loads worth of powder (at 1 tablespoon per load), although the tared weight on the powder did exceed 2 lbs by a couple of ounces. That is not really a big deal to me, and if you’re using a flatware tablespoon you’ll probably get a bit more than 64 loads out of the canister.

I purposely left a dinner plate overnight with dried on cheese and a knife with peanut butter residue on it so I could test the effectiveness of this product. When they were loaded into the dishwasher with a full load this powder managed to clean the dishes spotless without using any added heat or prewashing like I normally would with a standard cleaner.

I have so far washed a few loads with this powder and every dish has come out clean except for one bowl still had one spot of dried on chili.

The canister says that if you have hard water you will need 2 tablespoons, and 1 tablespoon for soft water, and I imagine you could adjust those to get it to work just perfect for you.

Best of all, this product is Made in the USA, and it’s not tested on animals and it has no animal ingredients. The plastic canister can be recycled when you are done, and it claims to have no negative effects on rivers, streams, plants, or wildlife. It has no artificial fragrance, colors, or preservatives, and it’s biodegradable and Ozone safe. The Grapefruit seed and Orange Peel extracts in this product are pleasant and not overwhelming to me at all.

The only thing I would recommend to Biokleen is that they sell a cleaning products package consisting of a 2 month supply of this product along with laundry detergent, general purpose cleaner, and window cleaner, plus any other best-selling cleaners they have. Most people do not want to order a 2 year supply of this at a time, and I have to admit that is what prevented me from ordering this sooner. I wrote to them a couple of months ago suggesting this, but I have yet to see this offered at Amazon.

Very effective at cleaning dishes. Only takes 1 Tablespoon to wash entire load with no residues or spots. If residue is left on the dishes reduce the amount of cleaner and this will solve the problem. I like the fact that it’s MADE IN THE USA & has environmental benefits. The smell is quite nice, but I like citrus smells. I’ve found this item cheaper at other online sites when it’s on sale. If it’s not on sale elsewhere Amazons price w/free shipping is the best. I’d like to see it offered in 6 pack cases as 12 containers should last anywhere from 12 to 24 months depending on how many loads you wash per day. Not sure about shelf life of storing the containers that long. Plastic container is nice because it can be recycled and doesn’t allow moisture to enter as has happened with cardboard containers. I also use Ecover & think that both products clean the same but I prefer the Made in America brand given all the recent problems with products made overseas.

If you have been dreaming of a natural cleaner that cuts grease and takes down everything from marks on your floor to yellowing on baking sheets, this is your cleaner.

The delicious lime scent may encourage more cleaning and this cleaner is safe for all surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom. It will even tackle scuff marks on the floor, marks on the walls and hard to clean pots and pans.

If you need a little extra abrasive, just sprinkle in some baking soda. This cleaned the stovetop perfectly without scratching and polished up the toaster, lid on the crock pot and made all the tile in the kitchen super shiny. Anything it touches is shinier and cleaner because it seems to remove any oil buildup and rinses clean, leaving no residue behind.

Is there anything soy can’t do? The soybean oil in this product replaces hazardous solvents and has excellent cleaning power. It is biodegradable and this cleaner is also gentle to the skin. I’m amazed at how it can cut grease, but it doesn’t dry out my hands even when using this without gloves.

You can use this on glass, pots and pans, bathroom and kitchen sinks and even polished surfaces like stainless steel sinks and toasters. The chrome shines beautifully after just a quick cleaning and it even seemed to remove some of the water stains each time the bathroom was cleaned.

You can also use this on outdoor furniture. It is good to know this product is biodegradable and also safe for the environment.

I’ve been using this for several months now, and it’s worked great for me. I am a triathlete, and often doing 2 workouts a day…and as a result my workout clothes take a real beating. I also tend to sweat a LOT, and prior to using SportSuds, my workout clothes would ALWAYS retain an unpleasant odor. (They wouldn’t necessarily smell after being washed, but once I would start to workout in them/sweat in them, the odor would come on strong…definitely not a pleasant thing to deal with when working out!)

With SportSuds, though, there is absolutely no odor! Not even after a long, sweaty workout.

The price seems a little expensive for such a small container…but I have a high-efficiency front-load washing machine, and I only need to use 1/2-scoop with it per load. As a result, I’ve been able to do 2-3 loads a week, and am still using my first container that I purchased several months back!

(I did try using Penguin’s Sport Wash product as a free-sample a couple of times, and didn’t feel it was as effective at keeping the odor out once I started a new workout.)

My husband and I are avid mountain bikers and thus have a lot of synthetic clothes that retain the smell of sweat. This product did not live up to it’s mission. Not only did it not remove the smell at all, but even when I remove the clothes from the dryer after using sport suds I could still smell the dulled sweat lingering in the clothes. At least regular detergent makes the clothes smell clean for a little while.

Country Save is my favorite product for laundry. The only thing I would change is I bought the liquid thinking it was fragrance free- It has a mild fragrance, which is pleasant, but I cannot use this liquid on our cloth diapers. I purchased the Laundry powder instead for the cloth diapers and all is working well.

We switched from Tide to Country Save about a year ago. Country Save works great for all types of laundry, especially cloth diapers. I’m not sure what the other reviews are referring to when they mention that this detergent cannot be used on cloth diapers. We have used it exclusively for the past year and have had no trouble with our cloth diapers (Happy Heiny’s). In fact, this detergent is the top recommendation on Happy Heiny’s website and also in our local cloth diaper stores. Yes, it does have a very mild fragrance, but the fragrance does not affect the performance of the diaper, nor does it cause any skin irritations on children. If there’s a concern about the fragrance, simply add 1/2 cup vinegar to the rinse cycle… it will remove any excess detergent from the fabric and also helps soften the clothes without using fabric softener. Of my household cleaning products. I clean my floors by hand (oh yes I do!) and have detested doing so almost all the time because of harsh smells and just plain old horrible stuff that is in everything these days. I picked this up on a whim at Whole Foods after reading about it in Domino Magazine. And I will never clean my floors with anything else but this.

It’s a JOY, oh yes a JOY to clean my floors (tile) with this aromatic cleaner. It just adds so much more that it’s ‘Green’ and safe for the environment and the family.

For any of those sensitive to smell, Bi-O-Kleen’s is VERY subtle, just a hint that’s all.

I really like this cleaning product. Smells great and gets everything sparkling clean. Seems good for most applications but the down side is you must buy a whole case of product which could last a life-time because it is also highly concentrated. This also saves on shipping cost and the environment. 4 of 5 stars for application but 5 stars for the environment!

We thought we should be good to nature and give up some performance moving to an environmentally safe laundry powder. We have four kids and often do two loads a day, so making this change will mean a lot less mess from our waste water. Out went Tide and in went Bi-O-Kleen. The first thing we noticed was the fresh natural scent, not the pungent detergent scent from the major brands. I then noticed how little we had to use, how one box does 54 loads. Nice! And then old stains started to dissapear from our clothing. Old, kind of faded grease stains was gone! Also, dulled fabrics seemed to brighten up, but we are not sure if that’s only our happines with the product rubbing off on the laundry.

We have been using this now for a while and we will never go back to the “old school powders”. because not only is this good for nature, it’s a better laundry powder alltogether!
